Counselling: Psychotherapy, EFT, mentoring

Counselling and Psychotherapy

By utilising a variety of therapeutic approaches clients are assisted in working towards the resolution of or coming to terms with emotional, mental and spiritual issues. Clients are assisted in a safe and caring manner to explore personal difficulties whilst working towards positive long term change.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional freedom technique or EFT is a universal healing tool that is based on ancient principles from Chinese acupuncture. It is known that all trauma, whether physical, emotional or mental can disrupt the flow of energy throughout the body and along the acupuncture meridians. It is these blockages that then create symptoms of psychological and sometimes physical distress.

Using simply tapping sequences at specific acupuncture points the meridians can be freed of their built up blockages. The freeing up of energy dissolves the memory of the original trauma releasing it, sometimes permanently.

The work requires no needles and is easy to apply. Results are often immediate sometimes with complete resolution of the distress other times offering a decrease in the intensity and or frequency of the presenting complaint.

EFT may be helpful in working with

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Phobias
  • Chronic pain
  • Compulsive thought patterns
  • Negative habits
  • Stress management
  • Food cravings

It is suitable for young and old alike

Mentoring

Mentoring offers a safe place to explore new ground with someone who has tread the path before you. It can assist recent graduates to identify their own unique qualities and naturopathic style allowing them to transition from student to practitioner with confidence and support.

You don’t have to be a recent graduate to benefit from all that mentoring has to offer.
