In body tracing we follow these symptoms back to their source in an attempt to release the original blockage.
Body tracing may be utilised to assist in the treatment of:
- Chronic pain especially of no known origin ( psychosomatic)
- Post-operative pain: even years after surgery.
- Anxiety and depression
- Emotional issues
- Diminishing scar tissue: Internal and external
- Painful varicose veins
Specific areas or reflex points on the feet are known to correspond to specific organs and tissues of the body, by applying gentle pressure to these reflex points one may potentiate change in the associated organ or tissue.
Reflexology promotes relaxation and balance, improves circulation of both blood and lymph and encourages an overall sense of wellbeing.
The word chakra is Sanskrit for wheel or disc and signifies one of the seven basic centres of activity which receives, assimilates, and expresses vital energy within man.
Each chakra correlates to a major nerve ganglion that branches out from the spinal column and as such relates to a specific area of the body. It’s also known that each chakra has associated organs, glands and tissues as well as specific developmental stages of life.
When the chakras are balanced and aligned energy flows freely to the related organs and tissues, resulting in a sense of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Emotional freedom technique or EFT is a universal healing tool that is based on ancient principles from Chinese acupuncture. It is known that all trauma, whether physical, emotional or mental can disrupt the flow of energy throughout the body and along the acupuncture meridians. It is these blockages that then create symptoms of psychological and sometimes physical distress.
Using simply tapping sequences at specific acupuncture points the meridians can be freed of their built up blockages. The freeing up of energy dissolves the memory of the original trauma releasing it, sometimes permanently.
The work requires no needles and is easy to apply. Results are often immediate sometimes with complete resolution of the distress other times offering a decrease in the intensity and or frequency of the presenting complaint.
EFT may be helpful in working with
- Anxiety and depression
- Chronic pain
- Compulsive thought patterns
- Negative habits
- Stress management
- Food cravings
